Born in Ecuador, South America, Ruth has followed many paths. While listening to her heart and working persistently towards her goals, she continues to explore creativity in the hopes that she can share her passion with others. She concentrates on functional ceramics and works instinctually on these simple yet elegant vessels. After graduating with a BA in Photography, Ruth taught elementary and middle school art. Currently she works at her home studio in Gloucester, has been a member of the Rocky Neck Gallery since 2011 and sells work at various stores in the North Shore area.
Traci Thayne Corbett
Traci has studied drawing and painting throughout her life. At age eight, she was taking lessons from a local portrait artist and later moved on to a BFA in Graphic Design from Clark University. Traci has continued her fine art work and education consistently, notably studying with Mark Hayden, Dominic DiStefano and David Greene among others. For Traci, teaching opened up a whole new world of inspiration and an amazing perspective on what art brings to one's life.
